We’re Remodeling for Spring! New Look, New Products & New Schedule Coming Up.

There are some exciting changes in the wind for Blue Sky this season. We just started a remodeling project that we hope will open up and organize our shop. We will still be open while attempting this, although most everything has been put in the basement or in containers. Walls are being removed, fresh paint and a hardwood floor will soon appear too! The bikes, clothes and even the work bench and bikestand are relocating… The workstand is still in place and being used, so never fear, we can work on your ride anytime.
Come check it out. As stated, we will remain open while remodeling. We should be done in the next couple of weeks – before March 1, 2012, which is our 4TH BIRTHDAY! YAY!!

While I’m typing, let me tell you about some other stuff going on.

NEW HOURS; Please note, I am changing my shop hours as of March 1st, as follows.

Mon, Weds & Fri 10 – 8 pm.
Tues, Thurs and Sat. 10 – 5 pm.
Still closed on Sundays.
This allows me to ride 3 days a week, instead of the usual 2… thereby keeping me relatively sane and fit, and offers ample evening hours for your convenience.

NEW PRODUCTS:
Just ordered 20 pairs of SIDI shoes! As many of you know, SIDI enjoys a reputation as probably the very best cycling shoe maker in the world. Almost everyone who owns a pair will attest to their slipper like comfort, and long term durability. As the saying goes you get what you pay for, and in this case, you do. We’ll have a nice selection on hand, and intend to keep them in stock in the most popular sizes and styles. Larger, smaller and wider styles by request.

Another addition is the SERFAS brand. I ordered some nice looking shoes from them also, including a carbon composite soled road shoe that sells for $120, and 3 other styles for road and mtn. bikes starting at $80. Again, in the usual sizes, others by request.
Serfas also has nice sunglasses, with 4 sets of interchangeable lenses. Nice. Worth a look…(get it? look?- sunglassees? I kill me!

Finally – THE BIKES.
Just arrived, 2 Wilier Izoard XP models. Red medium (54), and a striking white/yellow (56). if you haven’t seen Wilier (standing still), the Italian brand is one of the most famous brands in Europe, is ridden by team Lampre in the pro peloton. I gotta say they are gorgeous bikes, and they ride so well it just makes me smile every time I throw a leg over one. We also have their 2012 Gran Turismo model. lighter, stiffer, even quicker. Both models come stock with Ultegra drivetrains, although I built the Gran Turismo for myself in SRAM Force.
BTW, I was watching the film “Hell on Wheels” which followed the Telekom team @ The Tour de France, saw a Lampre rider on the Wilier Izoard as the race was passing through the mountains. Cool!

Please keep Blue Sky in mind for your cycling needs, support the people who love to ride. Remember the internet don’t fix bikes, I do. We appreciate the people who have supported Blue Sky, THANK YOU for referring your friends and neighbors to me. I will continue to do my best to keep our folks riding.

Ride and enjoy,
Bill Gibson
